Super Achiever Magnesium Glycinate Review
#7 of 8 · Our own brandReal retailer photo, cut out. Label unedited.
Consider it if you want a full-dose glycinate from us at $20 a month. The panel states 275 mg of elemental magnesium, and the numbers fit an unbuffered chelate. There is no lab report or certificate to back that up.

Why It Scores 7.7 — And The Label Line Behind Each Number
Form bioavailability
30% of scoreMagnesium glycinate in capsules. The panel shows 275 mg of magnesium from 2,500 mg of glycinate, an 11% share. Pure magnesium bisglycinate is about 14% magnesium by weight, and blends buffered with magnesium oxide come out higher. 11% is below both, which fits an unbuffered chelate. The label carries no TRAACS or Albion mark, so it scores like the other generic chelates.
- Form
- Magnesium glycinate, capsules
- Elemental share
- 11% of the glycinate weight; pure bisglycinate is about 14%, oxide-buffered blends are higher
Elemental Mg per serving
25% of score275 mg of elemental magnesium per 3-capsule serving, printed on the panel as 65% of the Daily Value. That is inside the 240 to 500 mg range the sleep trials used (Held 2002, Abbasi 2012).
- Per serving
- 275 mg elemental magnesium (65% DV) from 2,500 mg magnesium glycinate, 3 capsules
Lab transparency
20% of scoreThe label carries no certification mark and names no manufacturer or lab, and the shop page shows no certificate of analysis or GMP statement. Products that state a GMP facility and brand-level testing score 7.5 here; this one states nothing we can check.
- Certifications
- None on the label; no chelate trademark
- Manufacturing
- Made in the USA per the shop page; the manufacturer is not named
Cost per active mg
15% of score$20 for 30 servings is $0.67 a serving, about $0.24 per 100 mg of elemental magnesium. Doctor's Best is about $0.075 per 100 mg; Pure Encapsulations and Klean Athlete sit near $0.22 to $0.25.

Real-world response
10% of scoreGlycinate is the gentle form most people tolerate at a full dose, and at the same elemental dose it should behave like the other glycinates here. Three capsules per serving is the practical drawback.

Marketing Claims Vs. Reality
Natural sleep aid
Magnesium improved sleep measures in older adults in small trials (Abbasi 2012, Held 2002). That evidence is for magnesium in general at a full daily dose, not for this product.
275 mg of magnesium per serving
The figure is printed on the Supplement Facts panel as elemental magnesium. No independent assay is published, so it is the label's own number.
Up to 70% of people may be magnesium deficient
This line is from the shop text, which gives no source for it. We do not repeat a figure we cannot trace.
What Our Test Actually Found
The label does the one thing many labels avoid
It states elemental magnesium, 275 mg, and the weight of glycinate it comes from, 2,500 mg. That lets you check the ratio yourself. At 11% it is below pure bisglycinate (about 14%), where a product stretched with magnesium oxide would sit above it.
It is cheap per month and average per milligram
$20 covers 30 days at the label dose, which is a mid-range monthly price on our list. Per 100 mg of elemental magnesium it costs about three times Doctor's Best, because the bottle holds only 30 servings.
What would move the score
A published certificate of analysis would lift lab transparency from 5.5 to about 8.5 and the total to about 8.3, level with the mid-table glycinates.
Full analysis: all pros & cons (7), buy if / skip if
- 275 mg of elemental magnesium per serving, stated on the panel
- Glycinate form; the 275 mg from 2,500 mg ratio fits an unbuffered chelate
- $20 for a month at the label dose
- Vegetarian capsule
- No third-party certificate or published lab report
- No chelate trademark (TRAACS or Albion) on the label
- Three capsules per serving
- You want a full 275 mg elemental dose in the glycinate form
- You want to pay about $20 for a month at the label dose
- You want to buy direct from the shop behind this site
- You want a patented, verified chelate; Doctor's Best uses TRAACS
- You are drug-tested; Thorne and Klean Athlete are NSF Certified for Sport
- Three capsules a night is more than you want to take
For sleep and general repletion, glycinate is the form we recommend, and the trials worked in the 240 to 500 mg range. This bottle lands at 275 mg per serving and prints that number as elemental magnesium, which many labels avoid. The bottles ranked above it add what this one cannot show: a TRAACS or Albion chelate, an NSF certificate, or published testing.
This is our own product, and we scored it with the same five criteria as every other magnesium on our lists. The Supplement Facts panel shows 275 mg of elemental magnesium per serving, from 2,500 mg of magnesium glycinate in three capsules. That is a clear, full dose in the form most people tolerate best. What it lacks is outside verification: no chelate trademark, no certification mark and no published lab report.
The dose and the form are right; the proof is missing
Our magnesium gives you a full, clearly labelled dose of glycinate for $20 a month. On form and dose it holds its own against the bottles above it. It ranks below them because they can show a patented chelate, a certificate or published testing, and this one cannot yet. If that proof matters to you, Doctor's Best is the pick. If a clear label and a fair monthly price are enough, this is a sound bottle.
If This Doesn’t Fit — Try These

Pure Encapsulations Magnesium (Glycinate)
Pure bisglycinate with per-batch certificates and a hypoallergenic label.
Nutricost Magnesium Glycinate
The lowest price per milligram on our list, from a GMP-certified facility.
Quick Answers
Is this your own product?
Yes. Super Achiever Club sells it in our own shop. We scored it with the same five criteria as every other product in this category, and it ranks where that score puts it.
Is the 275 mg the glycinate weight or the magnesium itself?
The magnesium itself. The panel reads Magnesium 275 mg (from 2,500 mg Magnesium Glycinate), and lists it as 65% of the Daily Value.
Is it buffered with magnesium oxide?
The label does not say either way. The numbers argue against it: 275 mg from 2,500 mg is 11% magnesium, below pure bisglycinate at about 14%, and an oxide-buffered blend would come out higher. Without a chelate trademark or a lab report we score it as a generic chelate.
