Our Verdict

Consider it if you want a flavored 2:1:1 BCAA from us with every amount printed. One serving gives about 2 g of leucine, below the 2.5 g target, and there is no sport certificate.

Why It Scores 6.7 — And The Label Line Behind Each Number

Leucine ratio & dose

30% of score
7.5

4,000 mg of BCAAs at 2:1:1 is about 2 g of leucine per serving. The ratio is right; the amount sits under the roughly 2.5 g this criterion rewards (Jackman 2017).

Per serving
4,000 mg BCAA (2:1:1) + 1,000 mg L-glutamine + 2.5 mg vitamin B6, 6.5 g

Added aminos / electrolytes

25% of score
6.5

1,000 mg of L-glutamine and 2.5 mg of vitamin B6. That is a small glutamine dose next to Xtend (2.5 g) and Transparent Labs (5 g), and there are no electrolytes or further essential aminos.

Other ingredients
Citric acid, natural flavors, potassium citrate, silicon dioxide, sodium chloride, beet powder and grape skin extract for color

Third-party testing (Informed Sport / NSF)

20% of score
6.0

No NSF Certified for Sport or Informed Sport mark, which is true of most of this list and scores 6.5 there. Here the label also names no manufacturer and states no GMP facility, so it sits half a point lower.

Value per serving

$49 for 45 servings is $1.09 a serving for 4 g of BCAAs. Xtend is about $0.83 for 7 g.

Taste & mixability

Honeydew-watermelon flavor, sweetened with sucralose and acesulfame potassium. We have not taste-tested it, so this is scored cautiously against the flavored tubs that we have.

Truth Check

Marketing Claims Vs. Reality

Partial
5000 mg of branched-chain amino acids and glutamine

This line is from the shop text and is easy to misread. The panel shows 4,000 mg of BCAAs plus 1,000 mg of glutamine, which add up to 5,000 mg; it is not 5,000 mg of BCAAs.

Verified
The ideal ratio of 2 parts leucine to 1 part isoleucine and valine

The panel lists BCAA 2:1:1. That is the ratio most of the research used.

Partial
Increases protein synthesis and nitrogen retention

BCAAs raised muscle protein synthesis after training in a controlled trial (Jackman 2017), at a higher leucine dose than one serving here provides, and less than a complete protein does (Wolfe 2017).

The Deep Dive

What Our Test Actually Found

01

Read the 5,000 mg as 4 + 1

Marketing for this tub adds BCAAs and glutamine into one number. The dose that matters for the BCAA effect is the 4 g, and the leucine inside it is about 2 g.

02

Two servings fix the dose and double the price

Taking 1.5 to 2 servings reaches the leucine target, at $1.60 to $2.20 a day. At that price a complete essential-amino product is the better buy.

03

What would move the score

Five grams of BCAAs per serving and a named sport certification would put it in the middle of the list.

Full analysis: all pros & cons (7), buy if / skip if
Pros
  • True 2:1:1 ratio with every amount printed
  • Glutamine and vitamin B6 added
  • 45 servings per tub
  • Sold direct from our own shop
Cons
  • About 2 g of leucine per serving, below the 2.5 g the research points to
  • No NSF Certified for Sport or Informed Sport mark
  • $1.09 a serving, more than ranked tubs that give 7 g of BCAAs
Buy If
  • You want a flavored BCAA drink with a true 2:1:1 ratio
  • You like every amount printed, with no proprietary blend
  • You want to buy direct from the shop behind this site
Skip If
  • You train hard and want at least 2.5 g of leucine per serving; Xtend gives 3.5 g
  • You are drug-tested; Thorne Amino Complex is NSF Certified for Sport
  • You avoid sucralose and acesulfame potassium

Leucine is the amino acid that switches on muscle protein synthesis, and the trial this category leans on used 5.6 g of BCAAs with about 2.6 g of leucine. One serving here stops short of that. The top picks give 7 to 8 g of BCAAs per scoop or a full essential-amino spectrum, and one of them carries NSF Certified for Sport.

This is our own product, and we scored it with the same five criteria as every other BCAA on our list. The Supplement Facts panel shows 4,000 mg of BCAAs in a 2:1:1 ratio, 1,000 mg of L-glutamine and 2.5 mg of vitamin B6 per 6.5 g serving. That is an honest, fully disclosed label. The dose is the weak point: 4 g of BCAAs at 2:1:1 is about 2 g of leucine, under the 2.5 g this category looks for.

The Bottom Line

Honest about what is in it; there is just not much of it

Our BCAA powder prints its numbers and uses the right ratio. It ranks low because a serving holds less leucine than the research calls for and costs more than tubs that hold nearly twice as much. If you train hard, Xtend or Transparent Labs is the better scoop.

Frequently Asked

Quick Answers

Is this your own product?

Yes. Super Achiever Club sells it in our own shop. We scored it with the same five criteria as every other product in this category, and it ranks where that score puts it.

How much leucine is in a serving?

About 2 g. The panel gives 4,000 mg of BCAAs at 2:1:1, which is two parts leucine to one part each of isoleucine and valine.

Is it 5 g of BCAAs?

No. It is 4 g of BCAAs plus 1 g of glutamine per serving.
